King Saul 03:54
I met King Saul on the road to Babylon He said I've seen all that I want to see and I know all that I want to know and I've seen all that I want to see I said that we all used to follow after you we all used to love you you know and he said I've seen all that I can see all that I can see all that I want to see and I know all that I care to know and I've seen all that I want to see I said now Saul why don't you try to be free why don't you try to be free and he said now how can I ever how can I ever be free when the devil he follows after me that devil he follows after me how can I ever be free

A new kind of darkness from looking into the sun words from the prophets heard by no one Clouds full of rain that never comes down the soul waits to be faced the morning star rises Night birds come for a taste of water The truth of the soul is what you don't know the moving water the moving water Too blind to know the danger that may be under the sea under the sea Fly through the night to a world bright with the sun awaken by looking inside The dark and the light are tied resist the urge to hide
3.
A Sunny Day 05:30
You'll never know why the fences were not low where the birds all go or how much you tow Why so careless to go without air without air all the pearls and diamonds are not there except for drops of water in the air Oh my darling my darling Clementine can't you see I'm about to unwind you'll never know why the fences were not low where the birds all go or how much you tow Why were you so careless to go without air without air all the pearls and diamonds are not there
4.
Sanity 07:14
Sanity is a poor fit there's nothing more to find give me some new substance for my wounds to bind I've come all this way now I look to see if those yonder mountains will give anything to me The day's turned so black and my face is cold I can't see too good as it once used to be
5.
Not Today 06:24
I tried to get up from the ground I tried to She asked me a question and then she turned her back She cried on every Summer day and in the Fall she turned away She smiled and looked at me she held her hands way up high I wish I could jump up high and see her eyes before me Snow came down and buried the world and made no sound But anyway I can't stay in this cold place anymore
6.
I Can't See 03:00
I can't see what you see in me what you see in me In all honesty I only try to be a shadow of what you see Every day I groan under some heavy load in my bones I can't see without your love for me your love All this time cleaning up the grime never seeing sunshine or the clear air how precious few are my times with you
7.
All the walls have fallen Now the tanks can roll in Now the horses are dreaming Now it's time to pay for all my careless words Now it's time to see the absurd
8.
Fallen Again 06:49
9.
A brave new start was all that it took to wipe my mind clean and tear it apart Don't try to question why some things have no words so now let's say good bye and try not to think of what we have to do The sun behind your hair looks like the golden stars from an old astronomy When we first met there was no shelter for us we were both trying to forget We found the easy way for awhile but we didn't know that we were never free So navigate by your wind wherever it goes and be sure to send send me some news Be sure to let me know when your gray skies are handing down their snow I've seen you there on the wind up there on the wind

about

The album is mostly autobiographical, and the songs were written over about one year. It was a very difficult year for me, but the music also represents a deeper awakening to a dark side of me.

released January 23, 2020

David Thierry played drums on Sanity, and Liz Wick played bass guitar. Jeffrey Venturo played drums on I Can't See, John Massoni played bass. John Massoni, Rick King, and Hunter Lea helped me with producing those two songs. John Massoni gave me much help with production, and going through the process of making an album.
